    The Government Accountability Office published a report evaluating anti-drug ad campaigns by the White House Office of National Drug Control Policy, highlighting “competing and contradictory messages” about marijuana and other substances that could undermine their efficacy.

    Maryland Gov. Wes Moore (D) joked about how marijuana legalization was the “one thing that beat me on the ballot” by getting more votes than he did in 2022.

    • “So I’m like, ‘Yo, who is cannabis? And how are they so popular?’”

    A coalition of anti-marijuana, law enforcement and religious groups sent a letter urging President Donald Trump to reject a cannabis rescheduling proposal, claiming it “would hand dispensaries and drug dealers a massive tax break estimated at $2 billion annually.”

    • One signatory of the letter, the Drug Enforcement Association of Federal Narcotics Agents, represents personnel at the Drug Enforcement Administration, the agency that the cannabis reform proposal currently sits before.

    Oklahoma law enforcement leaders are raising concerns about marijuana as activists step up a campaign to put a legalization initiative on the 2026 ballot—with more than 400 businesses across the state now hosting petitions that voters can sign.

    Google Ads now allows advertisements for legal marijuana products under a new pilot program in Canada.

    • “Its purpose is to explore user interest and inform potential future policy updates.”

    A new study highlights “similarities between personally meaningful psychedelic and meditation experiences”—showing that they both “can facilitate a broad range of insights [that] are associated with perceived changes in wellbeing.”

    • “Meditation and psychedelics facilitate similar types of mystical, psychological, and philosophical-existential insights predictive of wellbeing.”

    The Drug Enforcement Administration published tips for talking to middle school students about drugs.

    Reps. Lou Correa (D-CA) and Jack Bergman (R-MI), along with a Marine Corps veteran, coauthored an op-ed pushing Congress to continue supporting psychedelic research at the Department of Veterans Affairs.

    Former Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-FL) tweeted that “Bill Maher gets it [when it comes to President Donald Trump’s consideration of cannabis reform]. Trump can win BIG by rescheduling marijuana!”

    The Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension superintendent discussed efforts to expunge marijuana records.

    Oregon regulators published guidance on hemp plants that fail pre-harvest THC testing.

    Maine regulators published guidance and updates on various cannabis issues.

    Washington, D.C.’s top medical cannabis regulator addressed questions about data security, licensing, social equity and product availability.

    Washington State regulators took action against an unlicensed cannabis operation.

    Michigan regulators deemed a woman permanently excluded from the state’s marijuana industry over alleged violations.

    California regulators published a list of registered hemp cultivation businesses.

    Colorado regulators will host a listening session about the psychedelics program on Wednesday.

    A study found that “dietary CBD mitigates weight gain and improves the metabolic health of [high-fat diet]-challenged mice, potentially through the promotion of white adipose tissue browning.”

    A study found that “psilocybin-assisted psychotherapy appears feasible, acceptable, and safe in recently detoxified patients with comorbid alcohol use disorder and depression.”
