    President Donald Trump is “tired of” public marijuana smoking and alcohol drinking in Washington, D.C., a federal agent who is participating in a law enforcement surge in the nation’s capital warned residents.

    Rep. Ayanna Pressley (D-MA) filed a resolution saying legalizing marijuana, expunging drug convictions and allowing overdose prevention sites are part of the U.S.’s “moral obligation to meet its foundational promise of guaranteed justice for all.”

    Alaska’s lieutenant governor cleared psychedelics activists to begin collecting signatures for a legalization initiative for the 2026 ballot, and the attorney general issued a proposed ballot title and summary for the measure.

    A new study shows that using cannabis seeds during the beer brewing process “enhances the nutritional value” of the alcoholic beverage by enriching it with vitamins and compounds “known for their antioxidant and anti-inflammatory activity.”

    • “Hemp seeds, particularly in malted form, can enrich barley wort with bioactive polyphenols, vitamins, and non-psychoactive cannabinoids under standard mashing conditions, without compromising key brewing performance metrics.”

    NORML Deputy Director Paul Armentano pushes back against myths about marijuana rescheduling in a new op-ed, laying out what the reform would and wouldn’t do as President Donald Trump weighs action.

    White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles reportedly discussed federal marijuana reform with the CEO of Scotts Miracle-Gro.

    Rep. Lou Correa (D-CA) tweeted that he and “fellow PATH caucus co-chair @RepJackBergman and I applaud this new DEA decision [to advance a psilocybin rescheduling petition]. Up to 20 Vets taking their own lives each day is far too many. One suicide is too many. Let’s give vets therapies that work.”

    The Arizona Governor’s Office of Highway Safety is funding and overseeing a program to train police to detect marijuana-impaired driving.

    Texas’s lieutenant governor touted the Senate’s passage of another bill to ban consumable hemp products with any amount of THC, noting his disagreement about the issue with Gov. Greg Abbott (R).

    A Florida marijuana campaign is asking a federal judge to grant it “complete relief” from a state law adding restrictions on the petitioning process as it collects signatures in support of a legalization initiative it wants to put on the 2026 ballot.

    Oklahoma regulators filed proposed changes to medical cannabis rules.

    Ohio regulators are now allowing sales of prerolled marijuana joints.

    Michigan regulators reached a settlement resulting in the suspension of a marijuana business’s licenses.

    California regulators sent an update on various marijuana business issues.

    The Maryland Advisory Board on Medical and Adult-Use Cannabis will meet on Thursday.

    Rhode Island Cannabis Advisory Board subcommittees will meet on Thursday.

    The Iowa Medical Cannabidiol Board will meet on Friday.

    Sacramento, California said in a federal appeals court filing that a different court erred in applying the dormant commerce clause to marijuana.
